Objectives of the National Society
The objectives of this Society are patriotic and educational; to commemorate deeds of historic interest, to inculcate and foster the love of America and of its institutions by all its residents; to base eligibility on lineal descent from men and women who were residents of America when it was under foreign government as colonies and who rendered civil or military service in any American colony prior to July 4, 1776 and to preserve colonial heritage. |
Organizational Structure
The National Society of Children of the American Colonists (NSCAC) is kindred to the National Society Daughters of the American Colonists (NSDAC) and National Society Sons of the American Colonists (NSSAC). The NSCAC consists of the member officers, chairs, general membership, and the Adult Advisory Council. NSCAC members are elected to office for a one-year term; Adult Advisors are elected for a two-year term. |
Leadership
NSCAC is incorporated as an independent organization but cooperates with those whose objectives are similar. NSDAC and NSSAC members furnish leadership and advice through the Adult Advisory Council.
Each NSCAC officer or chairman has an adult advisor to assist with the annual report, parliamentary procedures, and protocol. NSDAC also has a national standing committee to assist NSCAC.
